Getting to Venice :

The proud owner of a ticket to Venice landed at Venice Marco Polo International Airport. The airport is only eight kilometers from the city of Venice ... Access to the city is done very simply by bus, train or boat (ACTV, Alilaguna Airportlink, water taxi). No need to rent a car, you must leave it with the entry of the city.
Move through Venice :
The town is closed to cars, so you rely on your shoes (though comfortable) and boats that ply the canals.

The vaporetto is the easiest and most economical way to move around Venice. The gondola, more romantic, can be interesting to get to certain places. The motoscafi (water taxis) are more expensive. To avoid unpleasant surprises with them, get it clear the price before departure and make sure whether it's a total price, not per person.
Venice Attractions :
Do not make odd and do not leave town without seeing St. Mark's Square, the bell tower and Basilica, the Doge's Palace, the Rialto Bridge, one of Sighs and without having a gondola ride on the Grand Canal ...

Among the hundreds of museums, the Gallerie dell'Accademia in Venice and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection are probably the best known. You will also have a hard time choosing a palace to visit; Ca'Rezzonico will give you a fairly accurate idea of the splendor of the Venetian patrician houses.
You probably can not see everything, but do not worry ... flights to Venice are not expensive, so you have the opportunity to come back and visit all you will not have time to see.
