This natural wonder what Ghoufi Canyon is located 90 kilometers south of Batna on the road to Biskra in the Aures or rest of Wadi Labiod (Ighzer Amellal) after a long journey from the mountains of Chelia . It places reaches up to 1200 meters high.                               Ghoufi is registered in the register of protected nature sites by UNESCO, due mainly to the presence of "Ghoufi Balcony", an old archaeological site of four centuries.
Balconies Ghoufi represent a conglomeration of houses, very old, built in waterfall on the hillside, nestled in a palm grove. These natural balconies have attracted man in ancient times for their mild climate and the protection they offer in times of trouble.







The visitor descends to the river balconies stairs that leads Chentour, the same age as the balconies, is captivated by the magic of the place and her virginity.
A fairytale beauty that attracted one of the most prestigious hotel chains, the Transatlantic in 1902 to build a hotel embedded in the cliff perfectly fits the site.
The hotel and its officers Mass was destroyed by fighters of the NLA in 1955 liberation war forces, which adds to the prestige of the historic site and its mystery.
