Cap carbon - algeria

Description:

North of Bejaia, a small road climbs through the olive and pine trees and bypasses the heights of Gouraya, less than 5 km from the city center. It takes a small tunnel, a kind of lock before discovering the beautiful Cape Carbon, actually an island connected to the shore by a small alluvial isthmus. The trail leads to a lighthouse built 220 meters, one of the highest in the Mediterranean and the world, alongside very pretty coves.

the descent towards the Cape with a carved into the side of the cliff, then climb to the lighthouse path, is a moment of great delight to the eye. The water is so clear and so nuanced reflections below, that one gets to read on the oily surface of the sea, the subtle contours of the bottom.

At Cape Carbon monkeys nest egg are part of the decor, in fact this scope is the historical territory of the monkeys, even those who continue to quietly settle the maritime heights in the region.
